NC Girl Scout Councils Who We Are Who we are-cont'd

TARHEEL TRIAD ........
The Girl Scouts, Tarheel Triad  Council is dedicated to helping girls develop their full potential so they become happy and resourceful young women. The Council serves more than 16,000 girls and 7,000 adults in 13 counties in Piedmont North Carolina.

Girl Scouts is an organization which was developed especially for girls in 1912 by Juliette Gordon Low in Savannah, Georgia.

The Girl Scouts is the world's preeminent organization dedicated solely to girls, where in an accepting and nurturing environment, girls build character and skills for success in the real world.  In partnership with committed adults, girls develop qualities that will serve them all their lives---like strong values, social conscience, and conviction about their own potential and self-worth.

In the Girl Scouts, they discover the fun, friendship, and power of girls together; and through the many enriching experiences provided by the Girl Scouts, they grow courageous and strong.
