Early Bird and Snail’s Tail Programs at The
Learning Center
An optional, supervised Early Bird program is
available for campers who need to arrive between 7:00 a.m. and 8:15
a.m. daily, before The Learning Center day camp begins each day. The
Snail’s Tail program is available for campers who need to stay after
camp ends at 5:00 p.m. and is available until 6:00 p.m. each day.
The fee for the Early Bird program is $25 per camper. The fee for
the Snail’s Tail program is $15 per camper. Both programs include a
snack, access to open gym activities, videos and crafts. Parents
must pick-up campers by 6:00 p.m. or they will be charged an
on-the-spot late fee of $5 per camper for each 15 minutes they are
late. |
Session One: Girls Go Green
June 16-20, 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
We’ve only got one planet and we’ve got to take care of it! If you
love nature- trees, animals, plants, raindrops and sunshine, you’ll
love this week at camp. We’ll take action in making our earthly home
a better place. Have fun at a special Earth Day celebration!
Fee: $125 for Girl Scouts, $150 for others; $85 for Program Aides;
no fee for Junior Assistant Leaders.

Session Two: Yum-O!
June 23-27, 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
Think you might be the next Rachel Ray? This week will give you a
chance to test out your skills as a chef… making, baking and best of
all, tasting! Try your hand at cooking outdoors as well. It will be
a great week making new friends and memories (and some good food,
too!)
Fee: $125 for Girl Scouts, $150 for others; $85 for Program Aides;
no fee for Junior Assistant Leaders.

Session Three: The Real Deal Twilight Camp
June 30-July 2, 5:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m.
Come spend some time celebrating you and your uniqueness as you gain
a better sense of who you are and who you want to be. Participate in
stress-relieving activities such as journaling, yoga, making your
own bath salts and other crafts. Celebrate your week with a Spa
Party on Wednesday evening. Girls attending this special session can
use camp activities to complete the “Uniquely Me! The Real Deal”
Studio 2B Focus Book requirements for the Silver or Gold Award in
Girl Scouting.
Note: Girls attending this session must have completed the sixth
grade.
Fee: $50 for Girl Scouts, $75 for others.

Session Four: Arts Alive
July 7-11, 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
Do you love all things artistic and expressing yourself? Performing,
drawing, painting, music and so much more are the keys to this
artful week. You’ll even make some art to wear during this week of
fun!
Fee: $125 for Girl Scouts, $150 for others; $85 for Program Aides;
no fee for Junior Assistant Leaders.

Session Five: Princess Party
July 14-18, 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
You are cordially invited to spend an enchanted week as a princess
with a castle full of friends, new and old. “Be our guest” at a tea
party, explore “under the sea,” snack on an “enchanted apple” and be
a “sleeping beauty.” You’ll have a “ball” all week and the clock
will never strike midnight and end the fun!
Fee: $125 for Girl Scouts, $150 for others; $85 for Program Aides;
no fee for Junior Assistant Leaders.

Session Six: Global Gathering
July 21-25, 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
Ever wondered how girls all over the world celebrate holidays in
their country? Spend this week celebrating just like our Girl Scout
and Girl Guide sisters all over the globe. You can make crafts, sing
songs, play games and try new dishes from all around the world.
Fee: $125 for Girl Scouts, $150 for others; $85 for Program Aides;
no fee for Junior Assistant Leaders.

Session Seven: Camp Olympics
July 28-Aug. 1, 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
While the world awaits the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, we’ll be
hosting our own Olympics right here at day camp, Girl Scout style!
We’ll hold our own opening and closing ceremonies, with lots of fun
sports and games in between. You’ll feel just like an Olympian by
the end of this exciting week!
Fee: $125 for Girl Scouts, $150 for others; $85 for Program Aides;
no fee for Junior Assistant Leaders.

Session Eight: Shutter Bugs
Aug. 4-8, 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
They say “a picture is worth a thousand words.” Come spend this week
at the Learning Center learning all about photography, how to take
great photos, make a camera from a box and scrapbook your memories
from the week.
Fee: $125 for Girl Scouts, $150 for others; $85 for Program Aides;
no fee for Junior Assistant Leaders.

Session Nine: Real World
Aug. 11-15, 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
Think you’ve got the dollars and sense to make it in the real world?
The Learning Center will transform into its own city, and you’ll
become a resident there. Set up your own “business,” earn and spend
“money” – it’s all up to you!
Fee: $125 for Girl Scouts, $150 for others; $85 for Program Aides;
no fee for Junior Assistant Leaders. |
