The Tarheel Triad Girl Scout Council office is located off I-40 between Winston-Salem and Greensboro, North Carolina. Located just off Sandy Ridge Road, exit # 208, on West Market Street. If coming from the Greensboro area, take Interstate 40 west to the Sandy Ridge Road exit. Turn right onto Sandy Ridge Road. Turn right onto West Market Street at the railroad tracks, and go approximately one half mile. The council office and shop will be on your left, at 8818 W. Market St and 1203 Frances Daily Court. If coming from the Winston-Salem/Kernersville area, take Interstate 40 east to the Sandy Ridge Rd. exit. Turn left on Sandy Ridge Rd. Go to the railroad tracks at West Market Street and turn right on W. Market St. The council office and shop will be on your left, at 8818 W. Market St and 1203 Frances Daily Court. Office hours are: Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., and Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. (For Council Shop hours: [click here].) The Council has five outbased offices:
The Council operates four campsites. They are used for troop camping, day camping, resident camping, and providing specialty programs. Camp Dot Perry - Wilkes County, Northwest of N. Wilkesboro Camp Douglas Long - Guilford County, South of Greensboro Keyauwee Program Center - Randolph County, Sophia Camp Seven Springs - Davie County, East of Farmington The Council operates a Girl Scout equipment agency: Shop Hours: (for current hours click here) We are closed on holidays and holiday weekends, the last week of June, and Christmas week You may purchase pins, badges, uniforms, handbooks, gifts, outdoor equipment, and various other Girl Scout items. LEADER LOAN LIBRARY Written materials are available for check-out by leaders covering the subjects of music, dramatics, games, cooking/food, nature, camping, outdoor skills, science, working with physically and mentally challenged people, contemporary issues, and health & safety issues. Each year, programs are planned with community agencies and are available to girls throughout the Council. Some examples are Candlefests, Science Center Camp-Ins, Water Park Fun Days, Arts programs, sports events, etc. Refer to the quarterly issues of the GIRLS newsletter and/or special flyers that are distributed throughout the Service Unit mailings/meetings. |
